Dr. Roque is a Board Certified physician in Psychiatry, Specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She trained in Brookdale Hospital and finished her specialty training at Albert Einstein Montefiore Hospital in 2004.

Dr. Roque was the Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Bayhealth Hospital at Dover Delaware and moved to Davis California to practice at Community Psychiatry Associates where she was first introduced to the  aspect of Complementary Medicine. With her family being in the East Coast, Dr. Roque decided to move to NY. She worked at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn and Long Island Mind and Body in Garden City.

In November 2014, she decided to pursue her passion in alternative treatments in Psychiatry. She  is currently certified with the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABHIM) which is now the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AHIM). She continues to attend conferences to keep up to date on the latest evidenced-based treatment in Psychiatry with the objective of promoting other alternative means of treatment.

On December 1st, 2014, Wellness First New York was founded, to better serve the community with it’s goal to look at the individual as “whole” rather than as a “symptom.” Dr. Roque’s approach to treatment is patient-centered; attending to the mind, body and spirit of the person and incorporating conventional, holistic, and complementary aspects of treatment which are evidenced based.
